Double Seconds have got 26 notes. These are spread over two pans. Double Seconds are used for playing tunes, counter melodies, harmonies and also for strumming (playing chords).

In our band we have got 6 seconds players, but we have only got 4 sets of pans, which means that they can't all play. We are planing to get some more sets made so that they can all play.

Our longest standing Seconds player is Laura Hiscock and she has been playing pan since the middle of 97', Claire Lovett was the next player to join the Seconds section, she has been in the band since september 97', the rest of the section only started playing Seconds just before christmas 98'.
